Let Us Delight In The Faith Of The Lord

Let us see the way of the Lord.

Psalm1:1
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
            And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Since we have moved away from our former behavior of walking according to our lusts of the flesh, as is common to men, we now have a new delight in the fertile soil of the Faith of the Lord.

We will grow in the grace and the knowledge of the Lord as we walk in His Spirit and keep His commandments.

To love our Father in Heaven with all our mind and soul, we must keep His Word in our every thought and motive of our hearts in obedience. If we stray from walking in His Light, we wither and cease to produce the fruit of the Spirit which He delights to see us all bearing, through Messiah our Lord.

We can gauge how much we love Our Father in Heaven by how much we truly love His people and everyone that we encounter. If we are not walking in His Spirit and delighting in the Faith of Messiah what do we have to offer but works of the flesh.

We see the image of the sturdy and well-watered tree in the Psalm, to be the will of God for all His children to be.

Having now been immersed by baptism in the faith of Messiah Jesus, let us be diligent in our delight of His Faith, His Love, and our Hope we have in His Name.

For we know this:

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

So we now see ourselves as dear children; being delighted to walk by faith, knowing that our Father in Heaven is delighted by our faith and our communion with Him through Our Lord Messiah Jesus.

The grace and peace of our Lord Jesus be among us in His assembly.
